A tragedy that shook the foundation of Seireitei stripped soul society of some of its greatest soul reapers. Perhaps one of the greatest assets to the Gotei 13, the 11th Squad's Captain Zaraki Kenpachi, was among them. Thus far, 3rd seat Ikkaku Madarame had been able to keep his strength secret in order to serve under Captain Zaraki. In light of recent events, he has been appointed captain in Zaraki's place.
